• If you will send an insulting text, message, Whats App message, Email, Social Media Message to someone, then you can have a fine of a minimum of AED 250000, which can also be increased up to AED 500000. Article No 20 from Law 5 of 2012 clearly states that insult will be considered as a crime, done in public, Infront of people, publicly, officially or even online. It will not be considered a crime considered as unforgivable. The consequences will be quite serious.
• If a person stalks others this way, that he or she checks the messages then, it is also considered as a crime. Any unauthorized check of messages, emails, texts etc, is not allowed and the checking without the permission of its true owner is a crime. The breach of the rule can cost 100,000 AED to 300000 AED.
• Unauthorized access and unauthorized checks are not allowed in UAE, this is also supported by Cyber Law 2012. If after checking, a person is found transferring the data then, he will be punished as per Law. You are not allowed to enter into privacy, private Emails, private Texts etc. You are not even allowed to track your, spouse. You are not allowed to take photos or capture videos of others without the consent of a person. The breach can cause 6 months and a fine maximum up to AED 500000. Trespassing or invasion of other’s property is also a crime. Sentence, Fine or both can be the result of trespassing or unauthorized invasion.
• Social Media is the biggest influential platform from the last few years. A large number of people are using it nowadays. Article 21, Law 5 of 2012 explains that any publishing of news or photos, any offensive statement, or any information, without permission, intentionally or by mistake, will lead to a sentence and fine, which is a maximum of 6 months and a maximum of 500000 AED, respectively. Social Media breach has been found a lot in the last few years, therefore the laws for regulating social media are becoming strict and strict, with the passage of time. Technology breach is a serious offence.
• Porn content, is not allowed in UAE. Websites, blogs or any adult content can’t be reached here in UAE. If the person is found minor then the punishment for him will be much stricter than the major. The fine, sentence or both can be the punishment.
• Fake cold calling, for donations, funds, charities, games, puzzles, and lotteries is also considered a serious crime.
• Cyber Crimes e.g. hacking, viruses, snatching money, online frauds, forgeries etc, all are made as the top crimes in UAE. Because it can deprive the user of their tangible and intangible values, therefore the accused will have to face serious consequences.
